Starting out is never easy. I guess that’s why we are so young when we start out. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Starting over?

Just as tough.

And that is where I find myself now. Starting over. After 25+ years of marriage.

I’m now a newly-separated, soon to be single mom in her late 40’s. Raising 2 teen girls in my home state of Pennsylvania.

This is not for the faint of heart, y’all.

But it was necessary. Needed.

And tough.

The girls and I moved from lovely Spring Hill, Florida to a very small town in Western Pennsylvania. It is a dramatic change especially for the girls.

They had never seen snow before. They really like it so far. They can’t wait to try sledding, snowboarding and snowman making.

As for me?

I’m loving being with family and friends again. And yes, please don’t throw things at me, but I love snow. I’m just not a fan of driving in it.

Starting over from nothing is hard though.

Finding a J-O-B is now high on my priority list. I haven’t had a real job in many years. I’m not even entirely sure how to convert my experiences as a blogger and influencer into job skills on resume. But like everything else, I’ll figure it out.

The girls and I are looking forward to getting to know our new community in the coming months. As a blogger, I’m looking forward to posting about all of our new adventures. I hope you all stick around to see what Western Pa has to offer.
