I am so excited to announce that I, the proverbial crazy momma, am going to the Type A Parent Conference in Charlotte, N.C.!  I’ve been wanting to go to a conference ever since I learned that they existed but I just couldn’t afford it.

Then came the contest to win tickets via YesVideo

I won a full conference ticket for the conference! I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when Dwan Perrin of MommaDJane.com emailed me to let me know that I had won. It only took moments to decide that “YES I WOULD LOVE TO GO!”

I cannot wait to be surrounded by some of the best and brightest, most influential bloggers out there. Maybe some of their genius will rub off on me. Here’s hoping…

This is my very first conference (as if you couldn’t tell) so I am really nervous about being out of my element. The whole ‘first day of high school’ fears are kicking in.

Am I dressed “right”?

Am I smart enough?

Will they like me?

What if I say something dumb?

What if I do something embarassing? (like trip and knock over everyone at the Just Dance Party? I don’t have two left feet but remembering left from right? not always my strong suit. and can you say uncoordinated?!)

Then  stop to remember that these are people just like me. With the same fears I’m sure.

It’s gonna be fun.

It’s gonna be awesome.
